What do these three letters mean in the interpreters’ world?
- A is the interpreter’s mother tongue, German in my case
- B is a language from which and into which the interpreter works. For example I work from and to English and Russian
- C is a language from which the interpreter works. I translate from Italian (and of course, from my B-languages English and Russian) into German.
