Tomorrow I am off to the next conference; an event drawing an audience of more than 1000 people. This time I will be sitting in a mobile interpreting booth which was rented for this event and can be installed within a couple of hours. After the end of a conference, such a transportable booth will be quickly dismantled. This booth is usually placed discreetly somewhere in the back of the venue, giving the interpreters a view of the speakers and the stage. It goes without saying that this booth is soundproof too.
