During the interpreting season my brain is incessantly fed new information an insights. So many topics: aluminum welding, marketing strategies, landfill recuperation, accounting software, wood processing…among other things, while interpreting, I learned this september how to write a blog!
I believe that a thirst, appetite or hunger for knowledge are absolutely necessary for interpreters. I for one greatly enjoy dealing with ever new topics.
